Lecture 3:
The Movement of Human Life
Growing up by growing down and out. Allometry
In this lecture we explore how human beings develop: one part faster than another, roughly head to foot and inner to outer. This lesson lays out essential principles of somatic psychology. Jeanne introduces the idea of the Allometric wave: how the body and psyche evolve together, and how consciousness is imprinted in the cells of the body based on age.
“Our psychological development is embedded in physiological development.”
